Pre-Kindergarten (Age 3) 

In the Pre-K 3 classroom at FMIDC, we will develop important readiness skills while nurturing and encouraging Christian values through cognitive, physical and emotional growth. These skills will be implemented through centers of literacy, phonological awareness, science, math, social studies, art, and music. Children will work in centers and become introduced to the structure of a classroom setting.

 

To build strong family partnerships between the home and school, we encourage you to participate in your child's education. We will send weekly communications home with opportunities for you to assist your child at home and school.

 

 

Pre-Kindergarten (Age 4)

In the Pre-K 4 classroom at FMIDC, we will use research base curriculums and Texas Pre K guidelines to deepen your child's knowledge of themselves and the world around them. The curriculum will have a strong focus on Christian values, literacy, phonological awareness, oral/written expression, math, and science, and social studies. In addition we will integrate dramatic play, fine arts, and gross motor skills. All lessons will be planned in accordance with exit outcomes which will prepare them for kindergarten.

 

As a family member and caregiver we encourage you to be involved in your child's learning experiences. During the school year there will numerous opportunities for you to participate in your child's education. We will send weekly communications home with opportunities for you to assist your child at home and school.
